Comfort Inn Matteson - Chicago

Definitely found a bug in my room & it sucked bc my car broke down and this was the closest hotel with decent reviews... plaster coming off walls, outdated environment, and had to apologize 4-5 times about the wait from another customer. Over $90 a night and wouldn't ever go back. Thanks for being available when i needed a hotel, that's all you were good for. Oh, and continental breakfast gave my bf diarrhea. Thanks for that, too.

The hotel was nice, with comfortable beds, a typical breakfast. We had 2 rooms around 4 or 5 doors down from each other. We got there late, but I made the reservation weeks ago and was disappointed we couldn't be closer together. The building itself was less convenient to the freeway than I usually stay at, but it was reasonable and was a little less expensive than other hotels I was looking at. There was a man who came out to our car with a hotel cart and tried to help us load up our stuff. I'm not actually sure if he worked for the hotel. I wish he had asked if we wanted help. He was quite insistent about "helping." We have a road trip hotel routine, and my kids know what to do. He got in the way and kept piling on things we wanted to leave in the car. He had trouble believing we would leave anything in the car, which made me feel less comfortable about the location. They do have signs up that the management isn't responsible for things left in the car. It's not all that unusual. With our long drives each day, I couldn't afford the extra unloading and loading time, so I risked it without incident.

1 star is even too much. Hotel reeks of weed, even with a “No Smoking or Vaporizing” sign. The front desk people are rude. Between the rooms I had booked and the families that stayed there, we had over 15 rooms booked, but that doesn’t mean anything to the people there. Quiet hours are strictly enforced, can’t even step out into the lobby to make a phone call, they tell you to return to your room. Last I checked, we were at a hotel and not a jail. Breakfast - Not many options to choose from. Cereal was stale, only good thing was the waffles you could make. If possible, do not stay here. The 4.1 starts are completely false. Highly disappointed.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Nothing like taking a nice hot bath and then jumping between crisp clean cotton sheets. Many pillows to snuggle and a nice comforter. Not one of those usual scratchy bedspread things that feel like brown paper. I was just there to sleep for the night and sleep I did. My heater/AC rattled just a little bit but it made a nice sound, almost like rain against the windows. The hotel was very quite. I just wish they had late checkout. I'm in town for work and don't have to be there until 3. Did I mention the comforter? I want one of those.

DO NOT BOOK HERE EVER!! One star is being nice. I left my room for a few hours in the evening to find my iPad not in the same spot I left it. Someone went into my room, tried to take it until they realized they couldn’t get past the locks I have on it. I came to the front desk in a panic trying to get answers as to who had been in my room (mind you I was not mad at him I was panicking) and the guy at the front desk wasn’t trying to help so I called the police. Not once was I belligerent with him. I panicked because it is my work iPad. I called the police to investigate who had been in my room and the guy at the front desk was completely guilty and told me I had to leave after I paid for 4 nights. Rest assured this will be rectified. I didn’t complain about the dirtiness of the hotel or the loud noise that went on throughout the night but for someone to get into my room and attempt to take my iPad then hid in it the mattress is wild. Justice will be served for making me leave after i was only trying to figure out who had gotten access to my room. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

Wish i would of read the reviews before booking my room. The room was ok but im pretty sure the sheets on my bed were slept in as they were wrinkled and looked slept in, like housekeeping just went in and made the bad from the previous people, tub drained super slow and i had about 4 inches of standing water while i took my shower. The blow dryer didnt work and i asked for another and was told no id have to wait til the next day but i was only staying the one night. Then my husband goes to Walmart and he uses his feet to push open the door because due to a medical confition he has no strength in his hands or arms. Well for some reason they were watching our room out of hundreds of rooms and called me and asked if there was a man staying in my room with me and i stated yea my husband and she proceeds to say that hes kicking the doors and if it continues then we would be kicked out. I explained to her that was not the case that he was using his feet to open the door and she claims she daw him kick it like the police do which was a lie he literally just pushed the door open with his feet with the same force you would push it open with your hands. But my question is why was my room being watched and it was literally moments after i checked in. Its like they immediately after i checked in started watching us which im confused as to why? What because we are 2 hispanics covereld and discriminated against bud in tattoos? So i feel as if we were stereotyped and discriminated against by this hotel and thier staff. If you are hispanic or covered in tattoos then youre not welcome in thier hotel. Well i got news for the manager there that steretyped me, honey i guarentee i make more in a week than you do in a month so stop discriminating and judging people cuz you aint beter than me little girl. They have no business center and was told the front desk could print the papers i needed printed but then was told no they couldnt do it because i had 6 pages and that was too much to print smfh Oh and the breakfast was horrible and nothing to brag about
